Barcelona Day 6

Today we visited Tarragona, a few miles along the coast. We started by singing outside the Town Hall. We had a small but growing audience who were very appreciative. This was a chance to sing some of our more secular repertoire. such as My Favourite Things & Bohemian Rhapsody. We even had the local press in attendance videoing our performance. We then moved round to Tarragona Cathedral for a similar performance on the steps outside. This time we had a larger audience who were just as appreciative.

During a short lunch break singers took the chance to have a brief look at the Roman ruins before we returned to the magnificent Cathedral for a free afternoon performance. Stephen King, our organist for the tour, was accompanist for many numbers, playing the beautiful wooden pipe organ that dates back to the 16th century.

There was then time for a bit more shopping or sightseeing before heading back to the hotel for some relaxing or water polo before dinner. As we have a long day tomorrow everyone had a quiet evening and an early night!
