Netherlands Tour 2023- Day 4

Today, we headed south and started with the picturesque town of Delft. In between showers of varying degrees, we explored the town famous for its blue and white ceramics. We were in luck because Saturday is market day! This meant that stalls lined the canal selling vintage ceramics and other miscellaneous things as well as the main market in the spare where fresh stroopwafels could be bought! Another popular shop was the cheese shop where everyone could taste test the many different flavours and lots even bought whole cheeses! After a lot of souvenir shopping, we went to Euromast in Rotterdam (not Liverpool or Rome) for lunch in the tower where we got the occasional glimpse of an abseiler! Once the food was eaten, we went to observation deck to see more of the view and take photos. After this, we split into two groups, one enjoying a local swimming pool and the other visiting the cube houses and the Rotterdam Market. We then met up together and headed back to our hotel before buying some food and having a (very sandy) picnic on the beach with the seagulls! We were treated to some live music by a local rock band and enjoyed playing in the playground.
